Australian Securities Exchange-listed Health House International has signed an exclusive distribution agreement with Elixinol Wellness to distribute hemp-derived products in Australia for two years.
The distribution agreement, which can be terminated mutually by either party giving 90 days’ written notice, is expected to further strengthen and expand Health House’s product portfolio of medicinal cannabis within Australia.
It will enable Health House to reach more pharmacies and patients with high-quality medicinal cannabis products, the company said today.
The move follows a change in Australia’s regulations in February which allows registered cannabidiol (CBD) products to be sold over the counter in pharmacies.
“Elixinol is one of the world’s biggest and most established CBD companies with a global footprint and wide range of products,” Health House chief operating officer for Australasia Paul Mavor said.
“Health House looks forward to supporting their range of medicines and hemp products in the Australian market.”
Perth-based Health House is an international distributor of medicinal cannabis products across Australasia, the UK and Europe. It currently distributes over 13 medicinal cannabis products to pharmacies, prescribers, specialist medicinal cannabis clinics and researchers across Australasia.
