PVW begins new exploration chapter in the Tanami

12 August 2021 14:16
ASX: PVW

PVW Resources Limited is getting boots on the ground in Western Australia’s far north, chasing quality gold prospects and marking a next chapter for the company with a detailed exploration of its Tanami project near the Kimberley.

The company said its regionally experienced team is about to undertake a comprehensive surface gold and pathfinder survey, just ahead of a 16,000-line kilometres airborne geophysical survey to define and refine targets in preparation for drilling later this year.

The explorer rates its ultimate success exploring more than 1000 square kilometres of historically rich areas, pointing to multiple gold horizons on offer in the region spawning Newmont’s mammoth Callie deposit.

“Over the past decade, we have seen Northern Star develop a significant landholding in the Tanami Region, and most recently Encounter Resources has announced its intent to spin our Tanami project into a new company focussed on the region,” executive director George Bauk said.

“Our team is employing a structured approach to the exploration activities with the completion of detailed airborne geophysical coverage and on-ground activities prior to the company’s maiden Tanami drilling program planned for the end of the year.

“The project is well serviced with the Tanami Road intersecting the southern part of our tenement holding, and the Coyote Gold Mine Camp provides a convenient and close base to operate from.”

PVW will provide outcome updates in due course.

The company’s  Australian Stock Exchange-listed shares opened today, trading at 17c  (9:58 am GMT+ 8 hours).
