Valor Resources extensive geological mapping and sampling program at the company’s Picha project in Peru have identified significant channel and rock chip assay results, including an instance of 4.56 per cent copper and 549 grammes per tonne of silver 8.45 per cent lead.

The news comes with copper demanding over US$9,800 per tonne with significant commentary of a supply shortage with a total of 266 samples collected from the Maricate and Cumbre Coya target areas since the programme began.

The company said The Picha project continues to exceed expectations. The latest results confirm the area’s enormous potential in the world’s second-largest copper and silver producing regions.

“We now plan to move rapidly towards the next phase with drilling preparations already underway,” executive director George Bauk said.

“We have broadly identified our drilling target priorities and have now commenced the permitting process working with local authorities and the community.”

The company is planning further geological interpretation, focusing on identifying geological units with the potential to host economic mineralisation like known stratabound ore deposits in the region.
