Battery metal market keeps going and going and going

Cobalt has followed suit with its price rising 81.73pc for the year, currently trading at US$58,500 per tonne, while nickel has risen by over 6pc for the month. 

Iron ore continues fall 

The price of iron ore dropped yet again today, falling a further 1.6pc to land at US$92 per tonne. Forecasts remain optimistic for a quarterly and 12-month bounce back despite a precipitous 14.26pc drop since Monday. 

Shiny metals begin predicted rebound 

Expected by analysts to begin to rise again in 2022, the price of both silver and gold indeed went up for the month. While gold’s gains were less impressive with a 1.72pc monthly rise, silver managed to ascend 5.44pc in the same period after a year-to-date in which it has fallen almost 10pc.
