BlackEarth forging a Maniry mountain

26 July 2022
ASX: BEM
Jack Baker

BlackEarth Minerals has added a whopping 63 per cent high-grade graphite to its Razafy project JORC, part of the Maniry project in southern Madagascar.

The project — increased to 25.7 million tonnes at 6.2 per cent total graphitic carbon from Razafy alone — will likely lead to significant extensions to the project’s mine life.

And there remains Maniry meat on the bone, with a mineral resource remaining open along strike and down dip for added potential on an existing 2.4Mt of defined graphite resources.

The company said the estimate culminated in a successful drill program and will be integral to its upcoming definitive feasibility study.

“The success at Maniry of discovering and continually upgrading the mineral resources is testament to the exceptional potential at the project,” managing director Tom Revy said.

Updated Maniry Project resources

BlackEarth is continuing work on Razafy, with another mineral resource update expected ahead of the DFS.

BEM’s Australian Stock Exchange-listed share price has risen 18.29 per cent today, selling at 9.7c (10.25 am UTC+ 8 hours).
