Estrella finish up with more thick nickel

Estrella's Spargoville nickel project

Estrella Resources final two holes have returned with more high-grade nickel at minable widths from beneath the 5A open pit at its Spargoville project near the town of Kambalda in Western Australia.

Extraction of the bulk metallurgical sample and work on a JORC resource estimate can now proceed.

One hole returned with 4.34 metres at 3.58 per cent nickel from 71.46 metres, while the other came home showing 8.03 metres at 3.17 per cent and included 2.63 metres at a lofty 9.23 per cent.

The high-grade mineralisation and strong underlying nickel fundamentals paved the way for the explorer to broaden its focus to include Spargoville, and continued high-grade hits have led it to expect nothing but more of the same.

The company said the unearthed assays had placed it in a strong position to define a robust resource.

“The completion of drilling also allows the Company to proceed with bulk sampling, de-risking the project from a resource as well as metallurgical perspective,” managing director Chris Daws said.

“I am exceptionally pleased with the progress we have made to date, which positions the Company to meet its target of bringing Spargoville into operation next year.”

Next news out of Estrella shapes to be a completed resource estimate and results from metallurgical and mineralogical studies.

ESR’s Australian Stock Exchange-listed share price has risen 6.25 per cent today, currently selling at 1.6c (11.52am UTC+ 8 hours).
