Infinity spot a golden target

ASX: IMI

Infinity Mining have identified a new high priority brownfields gold target from a drone survey over its Leonora-adjacent Camel Project in Western Australia’s Central Goldfields.

The linear magnetic high target rests only 100 metres west of old mine workings and possibly represents a sub-parallel gold-bearing structure.

Camel saw small-scale gold mining over a hundred years ago and despite several holes returning anomalous gold since, with intercepts up to 5 metres at 2.24 grams per tonne gold, has only seen sporadic exploration.

The company said its team was excited to get to work on the new target.

“This new target lies just 100 metres west of the known line of old mine workings — the shallow gold mineralisation encountered in previous drill holes has never been followed up with any deeper drilling,” chief executive Joe Groot said.

Infinity are set to test the new target later this year for buried shear-hosted gold mineralisation, with further work including deeper drilling.

IMI’s Australian Stock Exchange-listed share price is trading at 21c (12.47 am UTC+ 8 hours).
