Forrestania move on priority lithium

ASX: FRS

Forrestania Resources has laid its plans for a lithium-focused drilling campaign at its namesake project prospective for lithium, gold, and nickel discoveries in Western Australia’s prestigious Goldfields region.

The 1500-metre drilling campaign will be focused on hitting priority lithium targets at both the Gemcutter and Bounty East prospects.

A large, untested target area was identified at already high-priority Gemcutter a few days ago, located in an area yet to be tested one kilometre south of Giant Pegmatite, where drilling intersected 34m at 3.1 per cent lithium oxide.

And Bounty East lies six kilometres from the world-class Earl Grey lithium deposit, showing favourable pathfinder geometry on top of pegmatite intercepts from historical drilling.

The company said it was a major milestone to begin the first drilling of priority targets.

“Today’s announcement that drilling is planned to commence at the Forrestania Project early in the December quarter is an exciting development for the Company and the geology team,” chief executive Angus Thomson said.

This represents only the first stage of Forrestania’s ambition for the project and the company will review results and update its program as new targets are made available for drilling.

FRS’ Australian Stock Exchange-listed share price has risen 2.86 per cent today, currently selling at 18c (12.19 pm UTC+ 8 hours).
