Dalaroo build up the base at Lyons River

ASX: DAL

Dalaroo Metals have struck into multiple lead-zinc sulphide intersections from maiden aircore drilling at the Browns prospect, one of six geochemical prospects at its Lyons River project in Western Australia’s Gascoyne Province.

Significant lead and zinc was noted in a new Broken Hill Type/SEDEX style prospect while one hole intersected new nickel mineralisation within an open-ended ultramafic unit.

Lyons River has emerging potential as a new setting for the highly desirable base metal deposit type, with multiple lead-zinc discoveries on the cards within its wholly owned 703 square kilometre land holding — with more than 800 metres of open strike length outlined at Browns alone.

The company said silver intercepts further supported a setting model for base and precious metal discoveries.

“We are encouraged by the prospectivity of discovering a significant BHT-SEDEX-style deposit at Browns and by the evidence that lead-zinc-silver mineralizing fluids have circulated at the basin-wide scale five kilometers east from our already drilled Four Corners prospect,” managing director Harjinder Kehal said.

“Early geological interpretation of the recent drilling results and the available gravity and magnetics data outline a sub-basin fold or trough structure south of current drilling, suggesting potential deepening of the basin.”

Dalaroo plan to drill test the Browns south sub-basin zone as a high priority, while conducting surveys over the Four Corners prospect and examining further potential for nickel, lithium, and gold within Lyons River.

DAL’s Australian Stock Exchange-listed share price was trading at 10c today (10.22 am UTC+8 hours).
