Infinity Mining get the go ahead for Tambourah lithium

17 October 2022 12:05
ASX: LIT

Infinity Mining is ready to put the drill into Tambourah South for a 2500-metre drill campaign, with approvals for a maiden lithium campaign in the Western Australian Pilbara now in hand.

After neighbouring tenement holder Riversgold completed a heritage survey necessary for access, Infinity can now fire up and deliver a completed programme before New Year’s.

The drilling campaign will target 36 pegmatite dykes, giving the explorer over 2.6 kilometres of strike length for drilling with early assays returning grades up to 2.635 per cent lithium oxide and 6489.4 parts per million rubidium.

Recent mapping of the project revealed four new poorly exposed pegmatites, indicating that further, less exposed pegmatites could exist across the project.

The company said with final approvals in hand, it will soon be able to mobilise earthmoving equipment to the project to prepare it for the rig.

“We will shortly be in a position to mobilise our earthmoving equipment to commence drill site preparation at Tambourah South,” chief executive Joe Groot said.

“I would personally like to thank the CEO of Riversgold, Julian Ford, for his diligence in completing this access clearance to facilitate this. Over the course of the next two weeks, I will provide campaign progress details as well as definitive drilling updates for this project.”

IMI’s Australian Stock Exchange-listed share price is trading at 21.5c (9.15 am UTC+ 8 hours).
