Great Northern exploration continues to deliver

27 October 2022 10:16

Great Northern Minerals have brought in a platter of high-grade rock chips and broadened the Area 4 target zone as it prepares to drill its Douglas Creek discovery at the Golden Ant project in North Queensland.

The samples returned with high hits of 1.89 grams per tonne gold, 589 grams per tonne silver, 1.85 per cent bismuth, 8.95 per cent copper and 2.13 per cent lead.

Douglas Creek’s allure has continued to grow since the discovery of an intrusion-related-gold-system, with three defined zones holding extensive high-grade IRGS mineralisation.

The company said exploration had again built-up excitement ahead of drilling.

“We are making good progress towards drilling our exciting Douglas Creek discovery – Native Title clearance activities have been completed and an earth moving contractor is mobilising to site to complete the required roads and drill pads,” chief executive and managing director Cameron McLean said.

Drilling is all set to begin mid-way through November.

GNM’s Australian Stock Exchange-listed share price was trading at 0.4c today (9.42 am UTC+ 8 hours).
