DMC hit historic at Gibb River

25 November 2022 10:46
ASX: DMM

DMC Mining continues to build its Gibb River copper in WA’s prosperous Kimberley region, with exploration validating historic drilling and confirming anomalous copper.

Initial field reconnaissance was conducted in July and saw a total of 27 rock and 11 soil samples taken, with rock chip results showing grades up to 315.5 parts per million copper and soil sampling up to 44.7 ppm Cu.

It targeted an area of the project that saw rock sampling and drilling carried out in the 1970s, showing widespread copper anomalism and returning intersections up to 2,244 ppm copper.

The company said it was forming the opinion that Gibb River represented an outstanding exploration project.

“DMC has secured the entirety of the open areas using our exploration model and thus represents an exploration project with substantial size and scale potential,” executive chairman David Sumich said.

DMC await assays from a sampled legacy drill hole that logged copper-hosting sulphide chalcopyrite but was never assayed on top of nickel returns coming in from both Fraser Range and Ravensthorpe.

DMM’s Australian Stock Exchange-listed share price was trading at 12c today (10.25 am UTC+ 8 hours).
