Megawatt fly over Quebec lithium

25 November 2022 10:28

Megawatt Lithium and Battery Metals move at pace towards drilling at Mistumis and Route 381 and have completed a new airborne geophysical survey over its pair of Canadian lithium projects.

After the receipt of final results, the plan is then to spin up for a diamond drill campaign.

The new survey covered 2819 kilometres across the twinning projects in Quebec’s renowned hard rock lithium district, directed at properly mapping the dominant magnetic/geological strike.

It follows up on an industrious summer of exploration across the projects, having just taken just under 2000 soil samples from the Mistumis Property.

Located in the James Bay region, Mistumis and Route 381 are surrounded by other advancing lithium projects, including the Whabouchi Lithium Mine which has a projected mine life of over 30 years producing 2,800-3,600 tonnes a day.

The company said information from the survey would be of great importance to the planning of its upcoming diamond drill campaign.

“We look forward to receiving the upgraded results of the airborne survey at which time we will overlay the geochemical results to provide us with substantial high-quality data for both of our Quebec lithium exploration projects,” chief executive David Thornley-Hall said.

The company says it expects results from the survey to be returned in the next four weeks.

MEGA’s Canadian Securities Exchange-listed share price was trading at 40 Canadian cents today (9.50 am UTC+ 8 hours).
