Uranium at Suprise Creek

Valor Resources continue to make good on the Beaverlodge uranium districts’ promise with a follow-up field program at its Surprise Creek project, revealing outstanding rock chip results up to 7.98% U3O8.

16 of the samples collected in the field campaign returned grades over 1000ppm U3O8, with results increasing the strike length of Surprise Creek’s surface uranium mineralisation to 500 metres.

Samples also detected copper associated with uranium mineralisation with grades up to 0.67 per cent copper.

Mapping at Surprise Creek has confirmed similarities to the geology of other significant uranium deposits in the Beaverlodge district including Faye-ace and Gunnar.

The company declared that with deposits in the Beaverlodge district producing a total of 57 million tonnes of uranium, Surprise Creek has the potential to be massive.

“These results confirm the extent of significant surface uranium mineralisation at Surprise Creek Fault and provide further confidence in the drill target,” said executive chairman George Bauk.

“Prior to drilling, we plan to complete detailed airborne radiometric and magnetics across the entire Surprise Creek Project area to identify other potential uranium targets as well as enhance our structural geological understanding to assist with drill planning”.

Valor is expecting to kick off drilling at Surprise Creek next year.

VAL’s Australian Stock Exchange-listed share price has risen 8.33 per cent today, currently selling at 0.06c (11:00 am UTC+ 8 hours).
