Infinity extends in the Pilbara

19 January 2023 09:30
ASX: IMI

Infinity Mining have been granted a five-year extension on tenement E45/4708 at its Hillside Project, lying within the structurally deformed Coongan Greenstone Belt in the Western Australian Pilbara.

It provides greater opportunities on a project with high grade gold showings up to 25.83 grams per tonne alongside high potential for copper mineralisation.

An airborne geophysical survey was flown over the newly extended tenement last year to assist with geological interpretation and plan future exploration, with the project considered highly prospective for shear-hosted gold systems, VHMS base metal, intrusive related nickel-copper and pegmatite hosted lithium deposits.

Hillside is just one part of Infinity’s expansive holdings in the Pilbara, its package of nine exploration licenses totaling close to 700 square kilometres of the region renowned known for its vast mineral deposits.

The company said it was committed to progressing and expanding its exploration program over Hillside in the coming field season.

“This is excellent news for Infinity, as the Company strongly believes in the high-prospectivity of the Hillside Project given its geological character,” chief executive Joe Groot said.
