C29 deliver nine new prospects to Mayfield

ASX: C29

C29 Metals have delivered nine new prospects to Mayfield from its completed gravity survey over the copper-gold exploration project in Queensland’s mineral rich Mt Isa inlier.

It brings in a high number of targets within the IOCG-renowned Cloncurry district, held within a project previously untouched by modern exploration, resting just 25 kilometres south of $170-million-plus market cap Carnaby Resources’ flagship project.

The presence of the gravity anomalies is particularly noteworthy considering they are one of the most common features of the broad range of lucrative deposit types in the region which include all of iron-oxide copper-gold, iron-sulphide copper-gold, Broken Hill Type, Sedex, Skarn and intrusion related copper-molybdenum mineralisation.

The company said it was gratified to have its recent gravity survey deliver such a high number of compelling targets.

“Until now, Mayfield has not benefited from modern exploration techniques. C29’s technical team will now use this data to design Induced Polarization programs over the higher ranked targets. IP has proved very successful as a drill targeting tool in the region, and this will allow detailed drill hole planning and execution toward the middle of this calendar year,” executive director Jeremy King said.

And in Argentina, C29 likewise plan to spin up the drill after hitting an expansive brine zone and move on swiftly delivering a resource from South America’s legendary Lithium Triangle.

C29’s Australian Stock Exchange-listed share price has risen 2 per cent today, currently trading at 26c (9.48 am UTC+ 8 hours).
