Tyranna mark discovery at Muvero

ASX: TYX

Tyranna Resources have intersected high grade lithium at Muvero, returning grades as high as 2.02 per cent over 22.75 metres from maiden drilling over the prospect at its Namibe Lithium project in Angola.

It marks a high-grade lithium discovery from a very short maiden drill program, with spodumene dominating the mineralisation.

Drilling also returned very high grades of tantalum and tin, minerals commonly occuring alongside lithium, with grades up to 2036 parts per million tantalum and 2146 parts per million tin suggesting there may be economic zones of both elements.

The results have led Tyranna to the conclusion that last year’s drilling covered only a small portion of Muvero’s surface extent, barely scratching the surface of a prospect with significant potential to be unlocked with more and deeper drill holes.

The company said with only two per cent of pegmatites at Namibe having been sampled, these high-grade results are a very strong indication of what may be present at other prospects.

“Follow-up drilling to test Muvero at depth is a priority for the exploration team, along with expanding our efforts to investigate the full extent of the project. 2023 is shaping up to be a busy and exciting year and these results maybe the first discovery of a new and exciting lithium region in Africa!” technical director Peter Spitalny said.

Plans for follow up drilling is already well advanced and set to begin as soon as possible.

Significant results:

  • 22.75m @ 2.02% Li2O from 20.25m − includes 7m @ 3.06% Li2O from 24m − containing 1m @ 5.26% Li2O from 29m
  • 7m @ 1.80% Li2O and 3.90m & 0.70% Li2O
  • 14m @ 1.39% Li2O

TYX’s Australian Stock Exchange-listed share price has risen 7.41 per cent today, currently selling at 2.9c (10.15 am UTC+ 8 hours).
