C29 Survey Sampson’s Copper

On the back of receiving exciting results from its crown jewel lithium brine project in Argentina’s renowned lithium triangle, C29 Metals is now making moves on its Sampson Tank Project in New South Wales with a 39.5 line kilometre Induced Polarisation survey to improve and refine drill targets.

The IP survey will build on a recent VTEM survey, which identified several bedrock conductors at the copper-gold prospect. These conductors were subsequently converted into drilling targets due to compelling copper in soil anomalies reaching up to 32ppm Cu. The IP survey now-underway has also successfully detected two of these sizeable targets.

Once completed, data from the IP survey will provide key to planning the Project’s upcoming drilling campaign, highlighting both areas of potential sulphide mineralisation and quartz vein/silicic alteration intensity, allowing the Company to consider mineralisation potential and drill hole orientation and depth when planning the campaign.

Located in an emerging Besshi type volcanic associated massive sulphide (VAMS) Cu-Au district and surrounded by a number of exciting discoveries including Tottenham’s 7Mt @ 1.2% Cu and the ~50Mt @ ~2% Cu Tritton Cu-Au mine, Sampson Tank is well positioned to add to the regions growing copper-gold pedigree.

The Company says it is aiming to drill Sampson Tank in the middle of this year and will unveil its drilling plan when it receives results from the IP survey in four weeks’ time.

“Sampsons Tank contains prospects that are emerging as excellent targets. Methodical, modern exploration methods have delineated co-incident anomalies in a region that benefits from the significant mineral endowment. We expect this IP survey will confirm the prospectivity of these targets, and we look forward to the results and interpretation,” Executive Director Jeremy King said.

C29’s Australian Stock Exchange-listed is currently selling at 13c (1.33 pm UTC+ 8 hours).
