Infinity Strike Lenora’s Gold

4 April 2023 10:25

Infinity Mining’s Victor Bore Project is looking to be a fine addition to the Leonora gold mining district in Western Australia, with the Company returning a number of exciting gold assays from the Project with peak grades up to 21.86 g/t gold.

The new intersections come from an over 3850 metre drilling campaign undertaken targeting Archaean shear-hosted gold systems and Volcanogenic Massive Sulphide (VMS) base-metal deposits across explorer’s holdings in WA’s Central Goldfields, with the rig hitting the Great Northern, Barlow’s Gully, Camel and Coppermine Projects alongside Victors Bore.

Of the 37-hole campaign, 16 were completed at Victors Bore, targeting gold mineralisation along a number of NE-trending structural zones that contain quartz veins at the surface and have seen a number of historical workings, with rock chip sampling over the old works returning gold assays up to 28.4 ppm.

Significant intercepts include:
o 7 m @ 1.96 g/t Au, from 32 m depth in hole VB23RC004.
▪ including 1 m @ 8.67 g/t Au, from 34 m depth.
o 6 m @ 1.40 g/t Au, from 25 m depth in hole VB23RC005.
▪ including 1 m @ 7.33 g/t Au, from 29 m depth.
o 3 m @ 2.39 g/t Au, from 72 m depth in hole VB23RC006.
▪ including 1 m @ 6.82 g/t Au, from 72 m depth.
o 8 m @ 3.46 g/t Au, from 56 m depth in hole VB23RC0010.
▪ including 1 m @ 21.86 g/t Au, from 57 m depth.
o 4 m @ 2.65 g/t Au, from 43 m depth in hole VB23RC012.
▪ including 2 m @ 4.84 g/t Au, from 43 m depth.

Despite being located in one of WA’s most well-regarded gold regions and lying next to the Kalis Gold Mine, part of Northern Star minings 51,250-tonne Thunderbox Operation, Victor Bore has seen little modern exploration and has no recorded drilling history, making these exciting results that much more pivotal.

The Company said that with assays now in hand it is planning a deeper drilling campaign set for later this year to test the extent of the mineralising system.

“The first phase of drilling at Victor Bore has returned some excellent results, with 13 of the 16 holes returning anomalous assays over 1 g/t Au, with a maximum 1 m assay of 21.86 g/t Au in hole VB23RC010. We are excited to see what lies at depth below this 400 m long mineralised zone, with further drilling planned later this year,” Chief Executive Joe Groot said.
