XLR8 Metals have rounded out its board, bringing in Wendy Beets as non-executive director to add a group already boasting credentials from multiple successes in international exploration as it moves on global nickel opportunities in prime territories across Sweden and Tanzania.

Wendy comes in as an adroit and experienced exploration geologist, having previously served as vice president of Australian Institute of Geoscientists and currently as the project generation manager of Anax Metals Ltd (ASX: ANX) where she has focused on advanced new project review and exploration management across its portfolio. Over her career, Wendy has worked across a wide range of target commodities, ranging from base metals to diamonds, and further adds to XLR8’s international credentials with exploration activity across three continents.

At the helm of XLR8 is founder, executive chairman, and CEO Shannon Green who has held executive positions at a number of ASX-listed resources companies, with an extensive background working in Australia and Africa in a career spanning over two decades of corporate, resource development and mining operation experience.

Patrick Leung will also serve as non-executive director. Patrick is a veteran finance and corporate executive with over 20 years of institutional banking and commercial experience across mineral resources, energy and infrastructure under his belt and had worked across the Asia Pacific region and in Australia. He previously served as Sector head of Resources & WA for the $7b Northern Australian Infrastructure Facility established by the Australian Federal Government.

The management team at XLR8 comprises of Ian Cameron and Ailsa Osborne, serving respectively as exploration manager and chief financial officer/company secretary who collectively hold more than half a century of experience in the Australian and international resources industries.

With its team now in place, the company is now well on pace towards a planned April 2023 listing, after which it can put the foot to the floor and accelerate towards the opportunities of global exploration.
