Ontario continues to demonstrate its potential to become an international lithium powerhouse, with initial exploration at Patriot Lithium’s Gorman property uncovering an 8 km-long pegmatite trend located just down the way from Frontier Lithium’s world-class Pak-Spark Project.
Promising Pegmatite Program
A total of six separate zones of outcropping pegmatite have now been outlined at Gorman, five of which are interpreted by the Company to be part of the same pegmatite group, with these individual zones of pegmatite hosting surface widths up to 14m.
The remaining body exists on a second less exposed trend located 5 kilometres to the north of the main trend and boasts a known strike length of 530 metres, which remains open, allowing for potential expansion in the future.

The trend was uncovered as part of an extensive reconnaissance program targeting lithium pegmatite across all of Patriots Ontario holdings, with the focus at Gorman being on a number of pegmatite outcrops that were initially identified from satellite data and follow-up aerial reconnaissance.
What makes this new pegmatite zone particularly interesting is its proximity to the Pak-Spark Project, with the new zones sitting along the trend of the two Projects which host respective lithium resources of 4Mt @1.79Li2O and 18.8 MT @1.52% Li2O.
This initial exploration program was split into two phases, with Phase One of the program using modern prospecting and geochemistry techniques to follow up on these targets, with Phase Two involving more detailed mapping and sampling of identified targets in the hopes of developing drill targets.
Rock samples collected during the programs have now been submitted for analysis, with the explorer expecting results to be returned early next month.
On the back of this massive success, Patriot Lithium has moved to extend the tenure of the Gorman Project by staking an additional ~34 square kilometres of claims bringing the Project’s total claim area to 349 square kilometres.
The new claims look to capture undercover areas of the Bearhead Lake Fault trend which hosts Patriot’s current holdings at Gorman as well as the neighbouring Pak and Spark Projects held by Frontier Lithium as well as extensive claims made by Midex Resources.
Patriots’ move to secure its holdings in Ontario appears to be well advised as the state’s growing lithium pedigree continues to draw international explorers looking to crack into the battery metals evergrowing market, with both Blaze Minerals and Sultan Resources recently staking claims in the emerging region surrounding the Pak and Spark Projects.
Following up on the results of the reconnaissance program so far, the explorer will continue the geological mapping of pegmatites, with the Company planning to collect and test Rock and Sawn channel samples in the near future followed by a soil sampling program at Gorman expected to commence in quarter three of this year.
The soil sampling program will target potential along strike extensions of mapped pegmatite trends which will allow for the selection of primary targets from a maiden drill program expected to kick off in the second quarter of 2024.
The Company said that assays returned in the near future will confirm the potential of these pegmatites to host significant lithium mineralisation.
“Patriot’s initial exploration at Gorman has delivered exceptional results, with significant pegmatites up to 14m in mapped outcropping width at the surface, having been mapped along an open-ended trend of 8km,” Chief Executive and Managing Director Nicholas Vickery said.
“This early result further illustrates the superb quality of the Bearhead Lake Fault trend which appears to span around 75km from Frontier Lithium’s PAK- Spark project in the southeast to Patriot’s Gorman project in the northwest.”
