Group 6 appoints Tony Caruso as Non-Executive Director

Group 6 Metals (ASX:G6M) has appointed mining professional Tony Caruso as the company’s Non-Executive Director effective immediately.

His appointment, coupled with the recent addition of Tony Davis as Executive General Manager of Operations, enriches the company’s expertise just in time for the expansion of mining operations at the Dolphin Tungsten Mine in Tasmania.

New appointment

Mr. Caruso has spent the last 30 years working in Australia’s coal and metals sector building an undeniable stack of evidence, proving his competencies.

Despite facing rapid industry changes, he has consistently demonstrated strong leadership, guiding companies through various business cycles. Now, as he takes on the challenge of leading the Dolphin Tungsten Mine, he aims to replicate his past successes and drive transformative leadership in this new venture.

“I am delighted to join the Board of Group 6 Metals as Non-executive Director,” said Group 6 Metals Non-Executive Director Tony Caruso.

“The Dolphin Tungsten Project has significant potential and I am excited to support the company deliver its strategic objectives.

“I look forward to contributing with my experience to the decision-making of the company and to guide the leadership team as the company transitions into a world-class producer of tungsten concentrate,” he said.

Under Mr. Caruso’s adept leadership during his remarkable 18-year tenure as Chief Executive of Australian miner Metarock Group (ASX: MYE), the company adeptly navigated through a series of challenges and successes, notably expanding its scope and achieving its 2010 ASX listing.

Additionally, his leadership acumen is demonstrated not only by his postgraduate degree in business management but also his recognition as a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management, leading him to undertake multiple chair and director roles on boards of industry associations and economic development corporations.

Future outlook

Considering Mr. Caruso’s portfolio, the company anticipates that he will deliver, stated Group 6 Metals Chairman Johann Jacobs.
